Exhibition on display: August 29 - October 26

Studio 23 is pleased to welcome Jessica Harvey and her sculptural artwork exploring the dynamics of social interaction and our innate desire for acceptance and belonging. Through her dynamic, wood-carved figures, Harvey highlights the creative process and draws connections between the history of the material to the history of our own lives, exploring “how society, culture, and family history have shaped us similarly to how time, circumstances, and human interaction affect the material.” With elements of play and interaction, this exhibit brings whimsy and the “timeless allure of storytelling” to Studio 23’s Tabor Gallery.

The mission of the Studio 23 Visiting Artist Program, through selection of an annual visiting artist, is to enhance the experience of Art for our community via exposure to a greater diversity of artists, art media, and artistic styles. The Studio 23 Visiting Artist Program is made possible thanks to the C Joanne Grabinski Visiting Artist Fund.
